About targetconnect
targetconnect is our SaaS Platform used by over 160 University Careers Services and Student Services departments across the UK, Europe and Australia. The product is a careers services management platform which helps Universities develop their students’ employability skills and deliver successful career outcomes. Increasingly, targetconnect is also being used to support wider student services across universities to deliver an integrated student experience, building from a base in Careers.About this roleAs the targetconnect ANZ Territory Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the adoption of targetconnect by universities in-region as the number one careers platform used by universities.
In this role, we are seeking an individual with a wealth of experience as a Key Account/Customer Success Manager to manage and grow our strategic partnerships with universities. Given the rapid pace of our expansion strategy, we are looking for an individual who possesses a deep understanding of how to create and maintain strong partnerships with universities. A track record of delivering market growth in tech in the higher education sector would be useful, although a deep understanding of careers and employability in Australian universities is just as important.

Outcomes

Key relationships are built and maintained.
  • Own the core and executive relationships for our key university accounts (current and prospects) with Australian universities as the primary focus, followed by other territories in-region
  • Have a proactive approach and regularly meet customers and prospects to understand their challenges and strategy, and how to help them achieve their goals through targetconnect
  • Be willing to try new and innovative ways to achieve this.
Market expansion is developed.
  • Build trust and advocacy with key prospects which ultimately leads to adoption.
  • Gather and act on competitor insight and market intelligence.
  • Create customer and prospect action plans internally and externally for key targets and customers.
The customer journey is successfully owned.
  • Act as the main point of contact for your customers and targets and be accountable for the entire partner lifecycle, from onboarding and implementation to adoption and optimisation
  • Know when to bring other team members in and work with the UK and Philippines based team on improving processes for the day-to-day questions.
Internal collaboration is built and maintained.
  • Communicate key updates to the Commercial Director
  • Secure opportunities for success stories
  • Collaborate with the UK-based product teams for effective partnership differentiation and enhancement.
Product Knowledge, adoption and best practices are continuously developed.
  • Quickly develop a deep understanding of the targetconnect SaaS product and the ability to demo this to clients.
  • Provide a consultative approach, understanding in-region university requirements and mapping these to platform tech and best practices.
  • Expand product adoption, and drive value for university clients.
  • Stay on top of the roadmap and identifying opportunities to excite key university stakeholders about our vision.
  • Create strong action plans with university partners on leveraging our platform to drive student and employer engagement.
  • Actively learn and understand the career services space as well as awareness of student and employer priorities, consulting with partners on adapting workflows to achieve success with the platform.
University Success, Health, and Retention.
  • Track subjective health assessments and collaborate with targetconnect’s Product Team to address partner needs promptly and to escalate key product developments.
  • Utilise data reporting and dashboards to understand trends and take appropriate actions for maintaining account health.
Own the ANZ Region
  • Being with primary focus and opportunity in Australia.
  • Grow from our existing core in Australia, and then expand into adjacent territories (including Singapore).
  • Act as the primary liaison between GTI and universities in the region by sharing insights and best practice to their teams.
  • Travel to universities across the region to run in person meetings, with key stakeholders building relationships.

Person Specification

  • Excellent communicator - written and verbal as well as experience running presentations to key decision makers. Instinctive marketer and storyteller.
  • You get energy from being in high pressure situations and driving fast growth, with the ability to build repeatable, scalable processes.
  • Dedicated to meeting and exceeding commercial targets.
  • Ability to prioritise workload while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity - you see an opportunity and you act on this.
  • Ability to think critically and empathetically about the customer’s needs.
  • Add value to a team environment by demonstrating enthusiasm and a collaborative spirit.
  • Adaptable to evolving business needs and willingness to contribute to process improvement.
Work Experience, Knowledge & Skills
  • Proven understanding and experience of careers and employability service delivery in Australian universities.
  • Proven experience as an established Business Development/Customer Success/Key Account Manager or equivalent, who finds satisfaction in helping customers achieve their goals as well as growing a customer base.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding bookings and revenue targets; experience selling SaaS products to Higher Education clients in Australia would be an advantage.
  • Confident with data reporting, CRM, pipeline management and meeting KPIs.
