Job Description:
Remote | Temporary August 2026 – October 2026
Tax Preparer Join our centralized tax processing team to prepare individual tax returns (Form 1040 and related schedules) in a paperless environment.
Responsibilities
Enter client data into tax prep software
Prepare tax returns in accordance with firm policies
Adhere to the firm’s written tax practice standards and the firm’s 1040 procedure manual
Ensure client confidentiality by following all company procedures regarding information handling
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
Must haveparticipatedin BT Prep for the 2025 Tax Season
High school diplomarequired;Associate's or Bachelor’sdegree preferred
Individual tax return preparation ideal, but notrequired
Knowledge of basic accounting concepts involved in tax return preparation ideal, but notrequired
Experience with Adobe Acrobat is preferred
Adaptable tonew technologyand ability to work in a paperless environment
A professional demeanor and the ability to handle matters confidentially
Keen sense of accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated critical thinking, well-developedproblem solvingskills, and ability to work independently
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to provide exceptional client service andexhibita sense of urgency to complete workin a timely manner
Availability to work August 2026 through October 2026
The pay rate range for this job position is $21.59 to $37.75. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, workarrangementsand geographic location.
