Job Description

At Summerset we are here to bring the best of life to our residents. To do this, we know we need to take care of our people to form a team who are strong enough to care, operate as one team, and strive to do their best.

The Team Leader, National Clinical Services plays a pivotal role in the management and direction to our remote clinical services team, establishing and further developing the new service and providing ongoing support and training to promote the use of the service within villages.

This is a permanent remote vacancy that would involve working online across a mixture of shifts whilst managing a clinical team also working remotely.

Some of the role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the Registered Nurses in the National Clinical Support team are providing timely, high quality clinical advice based on evidence and best practice

  • Proactive and visible support in managing key relationships within villages, particularly Care Centre Managers and Registered Nurses and Caregivers.

  • Conducting research and analysis to identify improvement opportunities within the NCS service

  • Attendance at in-centre meetings and collaboration opportunities as required to share information and receive feedback on the NCS

Qualifications

To be considered a suitable candidate for our role you will bring the following:

  • New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate.

  • Minimum five years’ experience in settings relevant to older people and aged residential care.

  • Leadership experience, preferably managing people.

  • Trained as a preceptor or willing to undertake formal preceptor training.

  • Be available to work on a rostered and rotating shift pattern

Additional Information

To recognise the important work that you do for our residents, we offer many great benefits such as:

  • An enthusiastic and supportive team that is fun to be part of

  • Weekend rates of an additional 40 percent of the hourly rate

  • Time and a half for all work or shifts over 8 hours in a day

  • Health cover (if applicable), social sporting teams, meal allowances, clothing allocation and discounts at a range of suppliers plus much more

  • We offer career progression and support for those looking to develop their skills further in the aged care industry.

If you, or someone you know, are strong enough to care, then we would love to hear from you.

Due to NZ Immigration requirements, we are obliged to consider candidates that already have the right to work in NZ for this role first. Due to this we may not be able to support a visa application for this role. This role may close early due to an increased number of applications - apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!

The safety of our residents and staff is important to us. For this reason, we require all our employees to be fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19 before commencing work at Summerset.
