  • Develop innovative approaches to transit performance measurement; apply these in programmatic and project contexts
  • Oversee travel demand forecasting for regional/corridor-based highway projects, working with specialists in deploying modeling tools including TransCAD
  • Oversee collaborative work to model multi-modal transportation performance, interfacing with modeling software such as SYNCHRO/VISSIM microsimulation tools and VMT/GHG modeling tools to augment the abilities of the practice

Practice Development Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate strong STV relationships with client counterparts, supporting positive working relationships among staff at different levels of the organization
  • Work directly with clients, other managers, and discipline leads to develop work scopes, budgets, schedules and clear project delivery plans
  • Collaborate with other managers to ensure tasks and projects meet or exceed forecasted profit margins
  • Manage the work of subconsultant partners to ensure thorough, accurate work products across firms and disciplines
  • Develop and carry out plans to grow the Transit Forecasting practice capabilities and book of work

Job Requirements:

  • Experience delivering effective presentations and facilitating informed decisions working with project teams and agency stakeholders
  • Strong technically based leadership skills with proficient understanding of interrelated disciplines, process requirements, and technical standards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to form effective relationships
  • Strong project management skills; PMP or other management training is desirable
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Planning, or related discipline; Master’s Degree is desirable
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience of increasing responsibility in transportation modeling and transit forecasting
  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Certified Planner (AICP) is preferred
