About the team:

The Data Experience team provides powerful and personalized enterprise software for internal teams doing data discovery, creation, and visualization. Our product packages Netflix’s data services into a cohesive experience for users, and strives to enable data-driven decision making in all aspects of our business. We focus on user-centered product delivery and prioritize features that enhance the productivity of our colleagues; indexing on connectivity, trust, innovation, and reliability. We value progress, avoid unnecessary processes, and require strong decision-making from each member of the team.

We are looking for someone who is deeply technical and has an unwavering passion for building use-centered software products. The ideal candidate should be skilled in developing reusable components and features for browser-based apps and have an incredible attention to detail.

You should have experience with

  • Modern JavaScript standards and web fundamentals.
  • Building responsive, data-intensive, and interactive web applications leveraging HTML5 and CSS.
  • Expertise in developing reusable features using Web Components or JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, Polymer, etc.
  • The intricacies of the DOM and have an understanding of web platform APIs and their performance implications.
  • Experience working on consumer and enterprise products over multiple release cycles.

Bonus points for

  • Experience working closely with product and design teams
  • Experience leading, facilitating, and synthesizing user research
  • Experience presenting products and features to audiences large and small

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $720,000.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
