UI/UX Designer

Summary/Objective

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UI/UX Designer with a strong background in product design to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience working with agile development teams, specifically in the B2B SaaS space. Familiarity with compliance and/or environmental testing is a plus. This role requires a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, the ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive and engaging user interfaces, and a passion for creating seamless user experiences.

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and user experience.
• Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
• Lead the UI/UX design process from concept to completion, ensuring designs are user-focused, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with business goals.
• Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications, style guides, and documentation.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to continuously improve designs and user experience.
• Work closely with the development team in an agile environment to ensure accurate implementation of designs and resolve any issues that arise during the development process.
• Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies to ensure our products meet high standards of design and usability.
• Bonus: Utilize knowledge of compliance standards and environmental testing to enhance the product’s usability in specialized industries.

Salary

$65 hourly - *This is a contract to hire position*

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design, with a focus on UI/UX design in a B2B SaaS environment.

  Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Experience working in agile development teams and an understanding of agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and advocate for the user experience.
  • Experience with compliance and/or environmental testing is a plus.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design work, with a focus on product design for B2B SaaS.

  Work Environment

  While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting with constant sitting and occasional standing.

  Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods and the use of hands to finger is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.

  Exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force is rare. While performing the duties of this job, good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, and copiers is needed. The employee is occasionally required to stand. Exposure to extreme environmental conditions or industrial hazards is not applicable.
