The purpose of the role:
Endomag requires a Product Manager to support the maturing market in the UK. These requirements include the strategic focus on Magtrace expansion and the launch of our Gen 3 Sentimag platform. Working closely with the international market development manager and the UK commercial team the successful candidate will be responsible for the lifecycle management of our Sentimag product line.
This role involves implementing product strategy, co-ordinating cross-functional teams, working with clinicians and ensuring that our products meet the needs of both healthcare providers and patients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, coupled with experience in marketing or business development, to effectively manage and promote our product offerings.
Key Responsibilities and duties:
- Product Strategy and Roadmap Development: Under the direction of Market Development
- Execute the product strategy for Sentimag, aligning with departmental goals and market demands.
- Implement agreed changes in the product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of new features, updates, and product launches.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product differentiation and innovation.
- Support R&D and engineering projects to translate market requirements into product enhancements.
- Sales Support and Collaboration:
- Leverage previous sales experience to provide hands-on support to the sales team, including product training, customer presentations, and addressing technical queries.
- Gather and analyse feedback from the sales team and customers to refine product features and positioning.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to develop commercial strategies, pricing models, and sales enablement materials.
- Assist in the identification and cultivation of key accounts and strategic partnerships.
Marketing and Business Development:
- Partner with the marketing team to develop compelling product messaging, promotional materials, and campaigns that drive product awareness and adoption.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, including partnerships, Congresses, and entry into new markets.
- Monitor and analyse product performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize marketing efforts and product offerings.
- Lead the development of case studies, white papers, and other content to support marketing and sales efforts.
Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee the full product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with customer needs and regulatory requirements.
- Manage product updates, enhancements, and releases, ensuring smooth rollouts and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including regulatory, quality, operations, and customer support, to ensure product success.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements that could impact the product line.
Requirements
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or a related field is required. An MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Experience and Knowledge
- Sales Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales within the medical device, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industries. Experience selling to hospitals, clinics, or specialized treatment centres is highly preferred.
- Product Management Experience: At least 3 years of experience in product management, preferably within the medical device industry or a related field. Experience with breast cancer treatment products is a strong plus.
- Marketing/Business Development Experience: Experience in marketing or business development, including market analysis, product positioning, and partnership development.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with breast cancer diagnostics and treatment technologies, or the ability to quickly learn and understand complex medical devices.
- Project Management Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse market data, sales metrics, and customer feedback to inform product decisions and strategy.
- Customer Focus: Strong understanding of customer needs, with the ability to translate those needs into actionable product features and improvements.
