About the team
The CSO team assists in Stripe’s plans for growth by managing its entity portfolio, including overseeing its Boards. Our scope of work covers matters from legal entity formation/dissolution/restructuring, statutory audits, coordinating board matters, including meetings, minutes and resolutions, and a lot more.
What you’ll do
We are looking for a talented corporate paralegal with project management expertise and experience to help us build, improve and execute Stripe’s market and entity expansion program (“LEAF”); oversee Stripe’s Know Your Customer (“KYC”) matters workstream; and assist with corporate governance matters for our US entities. We are a small, cohesive, and nimble global team supporting a rapidly growing organization in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. We are looking for a team member that is organized, detail and goal oriented and curious.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with our global team and cross functional partners to ensure that all LEAF and KYC workstreams are completed in an organized, efficient and timely manner.
- Design and execute project timelines required to meet deadlines and clearly allocate workstream responsibilities across multiple geographic locations
- Provide project task and issue management to drive clear project priorities and coordination with internal teams and ensure accountability
- Monitor, follow-up on and communicate project progress, potential risks/delays and performance to impacted teams and leadership
- Timely respond to KYC requests for confidential information and documents from our internal and external auditors, regulators, partners, and other stakeholders
- Identify areas to improve our existing processes and controls with technology, especially regarding communicating/providing and storage of confidential information, and generally improve leverage and self-sufficiency across teams
- Help with various corporate governance matters for US entities, including, annual state reporting and filing obligations
- Assist with special projects as needed, with the ability to work in an ever-changing environment

Minimum requirements
- A Paralegal certificate and/or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Licensed Notary Public (in any US state), or willingness to obtain a Notary Public License
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant corporate paralegal experience with an in-house privately owned or publicly traded company or a law firm
- Domestic or global corporate governance experience, knowledge and a basic understanding of formation, integration, restructuring and dissolution of entities is required
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate good judgment, handle multiple projects at the same, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth, dynamic environment
- Superb attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills with the highest level of accuracy
- Demonstrate leadership skills to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels
- Proficiency with Goggle Suite, including G-Mail, Goggle docs, etc.; Apple Mac computers; Blueprint/Diligent Software; JIRAs; and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
- A positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and a desire to be part of a strong, supportive team
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with the general process of Know Your Customer (“KYC”) matters
Working remotely at Stripe
A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. The annual US base salary range for this role is $97,700 - $146,600. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
