Who You Are
A leader skilled in driving go-to-market strategy, positioning, messaging, and overall success of Ontic’s growing product portfolio. You work closely with product management, sales, and marketing teams to develop and execute strategies that resonate with our target audiences, generate revenue, and position the company as a market leader in corporate security software. You work closely with the executive team to align product marketing objectives to overall company strategy. You have deep experience with enterprise buyers and large organizations and their unique needs.
You are a successful team builder, who has recruited and developed high-performing product marketers. You are a skilled collaborator with leadership peers. Key Responsibilities:
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategies for all products and solutions
- Define and communicate the value proposition and competitive differentiation of each product in the portfolio
- Collaborate with product management to ensure alignment on market needs and product roadmaps
- Market Research & Insights: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging trends in enterprise B2B software
- Provide actionable insights to product management, sales, and executive leadership to influence product strategy and growth opportunities
- Positioning & Messaging: Develop and refine compelling product positioning, messaging, and narratives tailored to target segments, ensuring consistency across all channels
- Partner with content, demand generation, and sales teams to create impactful assets - from videos to case studies to return on investment tools
- Sales Enablement: Equip the sales team with high-impact tools, content, and training to improve product knowledge and drive sales effectiveness
- Develop playbooks, pitch decks, competitive battle cards, and product demos to support the sales process
- Demand Generation: Collaborate with the demand generation team to create and execute campaigns that drive product awareness and generate high-quality leads
- Track the effectiveness of marketing programs and campaigns, optimizing based on performance metrics
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the 'glue' between product, marketing, sales, and customer success teams, ensuring alignment and synergy across departments
- Work closely with the leadership team to provide strategic guidance and thought leadership on product marketing initiatives
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing product marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration
- Develop the team’s capabilities in market research, competitive analysis, packaging and pricing, messaging, and sales enablement
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in product marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role at an enterprise B2B software company
- Proven track record of launching and scaling enterprise software products
- Expertise in go-to-market strategy, positioning, messaging, and competitive analysis
- Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and compelling messaging
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence across the organization
- Analytical mindset, with experience in using data to drive decisions and optimize marketing strategies
