Description:
Our client, an electrical supplier headquartered in Calary, Alberta, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VMware and Storage Consultant with a strong background in Nimble storage solutions for a contract employment opportunity. The ideal candidate for this 3+ month role will be available immediately and able to hit the ground running by assisting the client with their VMware and Nimble environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy VMware vSphere environments, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Implement and manage HPE Nimble Storage solutions, including integration with VMware environments.
- Monitor and maintain storage and virtualization infrastructure to meet SLAs.
- Perform routine system upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless IT operations.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in virtualization and storage.
- Develop best practices for implementing HPE Nimble Storage with VMware vSphere.
- Automate tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Manage the resources of the servers, including provisioning and patching.
- Train and knowledge share with junior teammates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in VMware infrastructure and storage management.
- Proven expertise with HPE Nimble Storage and VMware.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Certifications in VMware and storage technologies are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Linux experience will be considered an asset.
