Description

Tiro is a leading training provider for science and technology apprenticeships. We’ve been helping hungry apprentices to join ambitious businesses since 2005. At Tiro, we really believe that great apprenticeships help everyone. Because there are remarkable apprentices out there just waiting to be found, and fantastic employment opportunities waiting to be filled. But our work will never be just about getting bums on seats and pocketing our commission. In our own small way, we’re helping to change the world – finding people that are working on COVID vaccines, finding new ways for technology to help humanity and helping to tackle the big issues of the day, like climate change. We’re proud to be playing our part in making that happen, and we’re looking for more like-minded people to join team Tiro.

Safeguarding

This role involve contact with learners from 16 year old upwards. Tiro is committed to the safeguarding and well-being of all of our learners, staff and customers. We fully recognise our responsibilities for protecting vulnerable groups. It is the policy of Tiro to promote the safety, health and well-being of all children, young people and adults at risk that we works with – both directly and indirectly. We respect, value and listen to everyone as an individual. Safeguarding checks will be undertaken as part of your application for this role and if you're successful, you'll be required to complete a Disclosure Form from the Disclosure and Barring Service ("DBS") for the position. Failure to declare any convictions (that are not subject to DBS filtering) may disqualify you from joining Tiro.
We will take all possible steps to prevent unsuitable persons working with young or vulnerable learners and in doing so will follow the good practice contained within the legislative document Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education (2019)

The Role

In this role you’ll be helping to change the world through science and technology apprenticeships with your OBSESSION for developing the next generation of Laboratory Technicians.

You’ll TENACIOUSLY drive the progress of your learners, keeping them on track to complete their training programme. Combining your Laboratory testing and technician background, with super awesome coaching and feedback skills, you’ll COACH your learners to embed workplace experiences, ensuring knowledge transfer which accelerates the competency of your learners.

As a strong RELATIONSHIP BUILDER – you’ll partner with employer stakeholders, mentors and learners to anticipate, spot and address issues/challenges, nipping them in the bud to keep learners progressing with their learning. You’ll be determined to stretch and challenge your learners to achieve beyond their wildest dreams. You’ll prepare your learners to complete their programme – supporting them to strive towards distinction success!
