Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Review the day-to-day vendor invoice review performed by the GL Accountant to ensure they are coded to the appropriate GL account and department and that the cost classification and accounting treatment are accurate.
Review the monthly balance sheet account reconciliations in ARCS for GL accounts, such as Cash, Prepaids, Other Assets or Other Liabilities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to US GAAP.
Review and approve manual journal entries submitted by the GL Accountant
Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and explanations
Collaborate with Accounts Payable, FP&A, and other departments
Lead, mentor, develop and conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team performance
Coordinate workload distribution to meet deadlines
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Other Finance projects and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
CPA or equivalent certification (preferred)
Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
Thorough understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task, stay organized and prioritize deadlines in fast paced and continuously changing environment
Additional relevant knowledge or experience related to the above requirements will be considered an advantage.
