Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) is Canada's only national charity dedicated to protecting public land, freshwater, and ocean ecosystems. For more than 60 years, CPAWS has served as a trusted leader in conservation through evidence-based advocacy, public engagement, and strong partnerships that address biodiversity loss and climate change. The organization advances long-term protection of ecologically and culturally significant landscapes and waters while respecting Indigenous sovereignty and leadership. CPAWS operates across treaty and unceded territories nationwide, working to permanently protect at least half of Canada's land, freshwater, and ocean to sustain nature and people for future generations.
