About Scholars Strategy Network

The Scholars Strategy Network (SSN) is a nonprofit organization that connects academic researchers with policymakers and the media to elevate evidence-based policy proposals. SSN maintains a network of over 2,200 members across more than 330 colleges and universities in the US, along with 37 volunteer-led chapters in 33 states. The organization's initiatives, including the Ideas for America program, help scholars develop and promote research-based policy recommendations during election cycles and in federal and state policy circles. SSN works to bridge the gap between academic research and practical policy implementation by facilitating media opportunities, cultivating journalist connections to scholars, and supporting researchers in engaging with the public and policymakers.
