John Deere, though headquartered in nearby Moline, Illinois, has deep Iowa roots and operates major manufacturing and parts distribution facilities throughout the state. Deere's presence — alongside CNH Industrial, AGCO, and a web of smaller agricultural equipment manufacturers — makes Iowa a center of the global farm machinery industry.
