Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounting and Payroll Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support to our accounting and payroll departments by performing various administrative tasks and ensuring accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of financial documents such as invoices, bills, and bank statements.
  • Process payroll transactions including timesheets, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, vacation, and sick leave.
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support the accounting team in data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with HR department to ensure compliance with payroll regulations and policies.
  • Assist with year-end financial audits and tax preparations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Stay updated on relevant accounting and payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience working in accounting or payroll administration.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books), Sion Central, MS Office, Google Suite, among others.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Relevant certification (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional, Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus.
  • Must be willing to work US-based hours (graveyard shift Philippine time)
