Job Description

We are looking for a Financial Data Analyst for a 3-6 months contract, with the possibility of extension. The role involves updating and maintaining information on our client’s company databases and computer systems. The Financial Data Analyst's responsibilities include collecting and entering data in databases and maintaining accurate records of valuable company information to help make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency across multiple departments.

Our ideal candidate has essential data entry skills, like fast typing with an eye for detail, familiarity with spreadsheets, and online forms. You will work with a data team and Data Manager. Previous experience as a Data Entry Analyst or similar position will be considered an advantage. Ultimately, a successful Financial Data Analyst will be responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date, and usable information in our systems.

Responsibilities

  • Insert customer and account data by inputting text-based and numerical information from source documents within time limits
  • Compile, verify accuracy, and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible, and check output
  • Setting budgets for different departments based on projected revenue and expenses
  • Reviewing departmental budgets and recommending changes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, or increase revenue generation
  • Participating in strategic planning activities with other managers to help the company achieve its long-term goals
  • Monitoring financial performance against targets to ensure that the company is meeting its goals
  • Reviewing financial statements and reports produced by other departments within the company to ensure that they meet internal standards

Requirements

  • Proven data entry work experience, as a Financial Data Analyst (or other similar roles)
  • Experience with MS Office and G-Suite data programs
  • Familiarity with administrative duties
  • Typing speed and accuracy
  • Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Attention to detail
  • Confidentiality
  • Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
  • Must be willing to work US business hours (details will be provided and may still change)
