About the Team & Role:
At TikTok, our Global Business Solutions (advertising) team plays a key role in generating revenue by promoting our advertising solutions, onboarding new clients, driving effective ad campaigns, and more. As the TikTok community grows at an unprecedented speed around the world, our GBS team leads groundbreaking projects that are changing the landscape of the advertising industry in real time. The global Monetization Integrity team ensures TikTok users have a safe experience while viewing advertisements. They work closely with advertisers to create ad policies, manage content review processes, and more. The team is critical in assuring a joyful and creative ads experience for the community. As an Advertising Policy Manager, you will have complex problem solving skills and a true entrepreneurial spirit. You will help create TikTok's advertising policies across the North America region, but there may also be special projects and opportunities tied to the Latin American region. You will adapt global policy positions to align with regional cultural and social nuances. You will have experience owning and evolving ad policies in the North America region and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. TikTok currently observes a hybrid working policy of 4 days in the office each week and 1 day working remotely. This position is full-time and based out of our Austin, TX office.

Responsibilities:
-Own regional advertising policies
-Ensure policies are appropriate for regional markets; proactively identify areas for improvement
-Provide expert advice and support on policy matters relevant to the region
-Act as an escalation point for advertising campaigns working closely with Sales teams
-Partner with cross-functional teams including other Policy leaders, Sales, Product, Risk Control, and Legal to develop new advertising policies and enforcement criteria
-Monitor and report on policy trends and regulatory changes.
-Ongoing policy improvement based on a variety of input from a diversity of stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in North American advertising policy, specifically regarding media/content monetization
    -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with international partners across multiple markets and timezones
    -Deep understanding of the digital landscape and passionate about the TikTok product
    -Experience working with regional media/advertising regulators
    -Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese, as this position may support LATAM advertising initiatives
