Job Description

We are looking for an autonomous Analytics Engineer to join our fast growing Mobility Team; where we finance progress in mobility, and clean energy adoption.

As an analytics engineer in mobility, you would be working strategically and autonomously with a cross-functional team both in Mobility and the wider analytics team in the Fintech side of the business. Additionally, you would own analytics datasets and pipelines for the specific product domain and work together with your cross-functional partners to improve our understanding of the area.

About Us

At M-KOPA, applying best practices is important to us in order to build reliable, well tested, efficient and documented data assets.

Your role would be focused on Dimensional Data modelling and visualization, Data Engineering, Business and Product Optimization, Cloud Platform Utilization and Data Management.

You would be building easy to understand and consistently modelled datasets to serve metrics, dashboards and exploratory analysis; including building data transformation pipelines, primarily by using SQL and Python in dbt, and Airflow infrastructure.

You would also be developing semantic models in Looker, build dashboards and coach users on how to use self-serve capabilities of our platform while working together with software engineers to ensure that the data necessary for analysis is captured well in our systems.

This is a fully remote role, within the following time zone (UTC -1 / UTC+3). Our engineers work remotely from locations such as UK, Europe and Africa. You will be reporting to the group Head of Technology - Mobility.

Expertise

Our expectation is that you have extensive experience with Python, Java and proficiency in SQL. Additionally, working with data warehouse technologies, and with BI tools such as Looker or Tableau and dimensional data modelling for analytics / big data infrastructures would make you an ideal candidate for the role.

Experience working with orchestration systems such as airflow working with dbt will equally be essential for this role.
