Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training Completion of Medical Terminology and A&P (approved).
- Coursework/Training Enrollment in an AHIMA-accredited Health Information Technology program or online coding program.
- Proven history of proactively identifying, resolving and escalating issues that impact business and documentation outcomes.
- Track record showing good decision-making skills based upon a mixture of analysis, experience, and judgment.
- Track record in organizing and planning with demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree Health Information Technology.
- Coursework/Training Graduate of an AHIMA-accredited Health Information Technology program or self-study course and a passing score on the national certification examination for RHIA or RHIT.
- upon hire: AAPC or AHIMA coding-related credential.
- 1 year HIM background/experience or equivalent experience working in health care setting or clerical/office setting.
- Epic experience.
