Position Overview

  • The Associate Product Manager will work closely with internal business and technical teams as well as external clients to support the day-to-day production support of our payroll product teams (Hours+, Start+, MyC&C and Studio+).
  • The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of employee onboarding and payroll systems as well as a solid understanding of technology and software development practices. Although an entry-level Product role, the successful candidate will have some direct experience with one of the following: working with enterprise Agile/Scrum development teams; troubleshooting support issues; onboarding customers onto enterprise solutions or implementations/professional services work with enterprise customers. The Associate Product Manager must be able to manage a variety of high-priority support issues while building and maintaining strong working relationships at all levels throughout the company.
  • As product owner, the Associate Product Manager will provide support for the entire lifecycle of the application, including requirements, architecture, usability, engineering, testing and documentation of defects and maintenance work related to our customer-facing payroll products and services.

Core Responsibilities

  • Gain a deep and thorough understanding of existing Cast & Crew payroll-related software and business practices
  • Work with internal stakeholders and studio/production company and project-level customers to define requirements
  • Set priorities and scope for development work in a demanding and constantly changing environment
  • Support large-scale, cross-functional product initiatives including system integrations
  • Prioritize and maintain a backlog of production support issues/defects, maintenance and security/technical debt work
  • Assist with user acceptance testing, review and sign-off on completed software changes
  • Oversee development of customer product documentation
  • Responsible for internal and external communication and status reporting on progress against customer escalations/reported issues

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience, coursework or certifications in lieu of a degree will be considered
  • Hands-on experience working as an Associate Product Manager on complex and demanding software projects or similar work experience required. (working with enterprise Agile/Scrum development teams; troubleshooting support issues; onboarding customers onto enterprise solutions or implementations/professional services work with enterprise customers)
  • Working knowledge of payroll or HR systems
  • Working knowledge of Agile software development practices
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and bring different personalities together toward a common goal
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of management to drive decisions
  • Ability to conduct executive presentations and internal/external product demos
  • Software development background a plus
  • Prior experience working for Enterprise or B2B SaaS preferred
  • Experience with production payroll / entertainment industry preferred

Special Work Conditions

  • Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.
Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.The compensation range for this position is:$75,000—$90,000 USD
