Job Description

What You’ll Do

The Associate ServiceNow Engineer a key member of our Managed Services Tools team, building ServiceNow integrations and automating IT processes to enable clients to become more efficient & effective, and ultimately provide a better user experience for their end-users. The team works directly with clients and with various teams across Burwood.

As the ServiceNow Engineer, you’ll be involved in:

  • Performing requirements analysis, design, configuration, testing and customization of ServiceNow applications based on business requirements and in alignment with ITSM/ITIL best practices.

  • Resolving assigned Tasks, and/or Projects to complete in a self-directed and semi-independent manner. Performing and completing work with quality and in a timely manner.

  • Performing continuous development, improvement, and maintenance of existing ServiceNow modules and integrations.

  • Creating comprehensive and efficient ServiceNow workflows and processes to drive ITSM success.

  • Maintaining and helping to further develop our integrated platforms with ServiceNow.

  • Managing all aspects of internal deployment projects and work closely with the internal teams on status, issues, and communications.

  • Conducting testing, debugging, and troubleshooting activities to ensure smooth and efficient operation of ServiceNow applications.

  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation including development specifications, system designs, and user guides.

  • Providing end-user training and support for ServiceNow applications.

  • Staying updated with ServiceNow platform updates and new features and assessing their relevance to Burwood and our clients.

Qualifications

Who You Are

  • You have experience with IT Service Management process and tool design, configuration, and administration.

  • You are a detail-oriented, enthusiastic, self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • You enjoy problem solving and workflow challenges. You use this passion to design and build quality products and solutions for customers.

  • You have excellent communications skill whether that be in-person, over-the-phone or e-mail, with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • You have experience with IT Service Management and IT Service Operations workflows and processes.

The Tech Stuff

  • 1+ year admin experience with a solid understanding of ServiceNow ITSM modules.

  • 1+ year development experience including coding and configuration ServiceNow.

  • 1+ year experience with designing business processes for ServiceNow implementation.

  • 3+ years JavaScript experience

  • Proficient in ITIL practices and methodologies. (ITIL Certification preferred)

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification (preferred).

  • Development work in ITAM (HAM and SAM), ITSM, CMDB, ITBM, ITOM, IAM (preferred).

  • Solid experience in developing and customizing applications using ServiceNow platform (Service Portal, Service Catalog, Incident Management, Change Management, etc.).

  • Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile environments.

  • Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, Java, JavaScript, JSON, React, Web Services, etc.)

  • ITIL, COBIT and ServiceNow specific certifications are a plus.

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office 365 suite of business software including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Compensation packages at Burwood Group are based on various factors unique to each candidate including work location, skillset, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. ​

The estimated salary range for this role is ($90,000-$110,000). This role may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. Sales roles have an additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement.
