This is a remote, work from home position. We are seeking a remote BackEnd Software Engineer API in the Philippines.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Back End/API Developer to join our client’s dynamic team. This role demands a deep understanding of modern Back End technologies, best practices in responsive design, and a passion for creating user-friendly web interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Write code and tests, build prototypes, resolve issues, and profile and analyze bottlenecks
- Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
- Troubleshoot and debug applications
- Design robust APIs to support mobile and desktop clients
- Manage and optimize scalable distributed systems in the cloud
- Optimize web applications for performance and scalability
- Develop automated tests to ensure business needs are met, and allow for regression testing
- Implementation of security and data protection.
- 5 years of experience in back-end/API development with a focus on APIs
- Proven work experience as a Back-end developer
- Experience in designing RESTful APIs
- In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment)
- Hands-on experience with programming languages like Java, Ruby, PHP and Python
- Working knowledge of CMS framework Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, and CSS)
- Excellent analytical and time management skills Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
- BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to tackle challenges.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with an ability to see the bigger picture.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
