Responsibilities
- As the go-between for different departments, you’ll bridge the gap by translating business needs into clear technical requirements. Your ability to understand both worlds—business and technology—will be crucial.
- Dive deep into existing business processes, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing actionable insights to enhance efficiency. Your knack for spotting areas of improvement will make a significant impact.
- You’ll play a pivotal role in project management, ensuring that initiatives align seamlessly with overall business objectives. Keeping the big picture in mind while managing details is key.
- Analyze information gathered during project work sessions meticulously. From there, develop thorough and well-thought-out requirements or user stories. Your attention to detail will drive successful outcomes.
- Throughout the project lifecycle, maintain project documentation diligently. Keep the backlog updated and accurate, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
- Willingness to work in Hawaii time zone (1:00-9:00PM EDT; 12:00-8:00PM EST).
- This is a fully remote position, but it requires working Hawaii Standard Time (HST), which is 6 hours behind Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) and 5 hours behind Eastern Standard Time (EST). While there is some day-to-day flexibility, you must be able to support customer schedules according to HST.
- Prior experience and subject matter expertise in Medicaid.
- Be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task, manage workload, and deliver results to meet competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Dissect complex data, spot trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Understand business functionality and translate it into system and application requirements.
- Communicate clearly, translating data insights into actionable recommendations for various stakeholders.
- Have familiarity with BI tools, SQL, and data visualization platforms.
- Tackle business challenges head-on, making creative problem solving your secret weapon.
- Exhibit intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas.
- Understand Data and AI principals.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years in business analysis, product ownership, or related position.
- 3+ years of experience with data analytics and statistical analysis techniques.
- Demonstrated proven experience as a Business Analyst for consulting projects exceeding $500,000 and more than 6 months in duration.
- Previous experience in the healthcare industry
- Undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems or another relevant technical program
