Job Description:

GDIT is seeking an experienced Business Analyst/Tester to join our DCMA SDLC IWMS team. This position is 100% remote, however, the employee must reside in the continental US.

The Business Analyst/Tester will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of solutions in highly secure environments, particularly within government agencies and defense contractors. The successful candidate will have a strong background in requirements gathering, creating data visualizations and test plans, Agile methodologies, and process mapping to ensure the reliability and performance of K2 solutions.

HOW THE BUSINESS ANALYST/TESTER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives.

  • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights to support decision-making processes.

  • Develop detailed business process models, workflows, and diagrams to visualize current and future state processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of new systems, processes, and tools.

  • Create and maintain documentation such as business requirements documents, user stories, and test cases.

  • Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements, resolve issues, and communicate project status.

  • Provide ongoing support and training to end-users on implemented solutions.

  • Review and analyze system specifications to understand testing requirements.

  • Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project documentation.

  • Execute test cases and report defects, ensuring thorough coverage of software functionality.

  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues and improve product quality.

  • Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing as necessary.

  • Participate in meetings and discussions to provide input on project status and quality concerns.

  • Document testing processes, results, and findings for future reference.

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends and opportunities.

  • Assist in the preparation of business cases, feasibility studies, and project plans.

  • Participate in quality assurance activities such as user acceptance testing and system validation.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED:

Security Clearance:Must currently maintain Tier III security background investigation in order to obtain IT Level II access prior to start date. Must be able to pass background check. Preference given to current CAC holders.

Education: Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience: 3 years of experience in business analysis, testing, or related role.

Certification:

  • Current CompTIA Security+ or CE certification.

  • Current and appropriate DoD approved IA baseline computing environment certification in accordance with IAW DoDM 8140.03, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, prior to start date.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques such as process mapping, data modeling, and requirements elicitation.

  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or Appium.

  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or JavaScript.

  • Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint and the PowerSuite

  • Familiarity with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Previous experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.

  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

  • ISTQB or similar certification.

  • Understanding of web technologies and architectures.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.

Location: Fully (100%) Remote. CONUS ONLY. Must travel to on-site location in order to obtain government furnished equipment.

Travel: May require occasional travel (less than 10%)

The likely salary range for this position is $68,000 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
