GDIT is seeking a highly motivated IT Quality Analyst Advisor to join our growing team to develop, support, and modernize mission-critical applications for our DHS customer. The successful candidate will provide support and technical advice during conceptualization, development, and implementation phases to transform requirements into working solutions; and will work proactively, collaboratively, and with an entrepreneurial spirit in providing O&M support (in the form of developmental engineering) to the customer and their Stakeholder communities in achieving their critical missions.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Develop software/systems testing procedures and conduct tests
- Review and evaluate software products and/or systems to ensure adherence to company and customer quality standards
- Write and execute test cases using JIRA application
- Engage with clients/users to define system scope and objectives
- Provide support and technical advice throughout Agile sprint cycles
- Validate enhancements to existing system in addition to coordinating with other QA/testing personnel
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
- Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
- Required Technical Skills: ability to automate test cases; and experience with scrum/agile project lifecycle approach to software development
- Security Clearance Level: Public Trust (DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability)
- Required Skills and Abilities: adept at problem-solving, troubleshooting, collaboration, time management, multi-tasking, and task-ownership; excellent oral and written communication skills
- Preferred Skills: 8+ years of relevant experience; technical training, certification(s), or degree in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or related technical discipline; experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies; experience implementing and configuring DevOps solutions; experience with querying databases using SQL; experience in SQL and SQL*Plus; proven track record as a self-learner keeping current with the latest techniques including automated testing and continuous integration; experience in Jira to support configuration management in an Agile environment; Certifications - SAFe, SCRUM, or Kanban
