The Business Continuity Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Bank's Business Continuity Management Plan (BCMP). This position ensures that the Bank is able to continue essential operations during and after a disruption or disaster and manage the Bank's response to such events.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive business continuity program that aligns with the company's objectives, risk tolerance, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain business continuity plans for the company's key functions, including incident response procedures, crisis management, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Work closely with key stakeholders, including senior management, functional heads, and IT, to ensure that the business continuity program is integrated into the company's overall risk management framework.
- Assists each business unit in identifying critical business processes and ensuring their continued availability in the event of a disruption or disaster.
- Manage the bank's response to disruptions or disasters, including activating the business continuity plan and coordinating with other departments and external organizations as necessary.
- Conduct regular tests and drills of the business continuity plan to ensure its effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the bank's business continuity plan aligns with their requirements.
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry best practices related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
- Monitor the external environment for potential threats and emerging risks and update the business continuity program accordingly.
- Provide training and awareness to employees on the business continuity program and educate them on their roles and responsibilities during a disruption.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, regulations, and standards related to business continuity and risk management.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of the bank's business continuity plan and related activities.
- Manage the business continuity application platform for the Bank.
- Manage the emergency notification system (ENS).
- Prepare Business Continuity reports and assist with creating executive or board presentations as needed.

RequirementsEducation and Certifications:
- College degree or relevant experience in a related field (IT, Banking, etc.)
Skills:
· Experience with Project Management.
- Experience with BCP planning and execution.
- Strong computer skills relevant to Microsoft Office Suites (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong decision-making/problem resolution skills.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and math skills, organizational skills, and customer service skills.
- Effective verbal and written skills to effectively communicate in the English language required.
- Experience within Banking or similar field.
Abilities:
- Ability to learn bank programed software.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with accounts while providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work all branch hours, remote or in office, including weekend and evenings.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence, and/or journals, or government regulations.
- Ability to deal directly with the public, on the phone or face to face, following the Bank’s Customer Service Standards.
