Job Description
The Business Development Manager position in a few words
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to support the implementation BU’s overall commercial and sustainability strategy and expand business in Taiwan market. This position will be strongly focusing on new business development through driving innovation, building up and managing new business pipeline to improve either market share or project profitability in assigned to 3C automation, semiconductor and other industries.
Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for equipment sales, business development and business forecasting.
- Develop a sales strategy to achieve organizational sales goals and revenues worldwide.
- Collaborate with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives.
- Investigate the market trends and develop sales.
- Managing multiple customers project at the same time in the global scope.
- Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue
- Sales front end Project management.
- Conduct market research and competitor and customer analysis, always strategical thinking.
- Cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers in key accounts
- Make sure the collection of the payment receivables
- Able to represent the company to negotiate with the customer on contracts.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management.
Qualifications
Qualification and required work experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree, engineering can be a plus
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in selling custom automation solutions for manufacturing industry
- Sales management and BD background, not BPM/PM background.
- Must have working in overseas company experience.
- Professional in 3C automation & testing equipment and Optics & AI visionary knowledge.
- Customer resources: NAPA- Modules, camera module, lens module, Chipset module package and other 3C automation in Taiwan.
- To have resources in Automotive Tier 1/2, AI-Server modules, and medical customers can be a plus.
- Must be highly motivated to proactively to travel and BD new business with customers. Be responsible for sales management, and customer project management.
- Understands the market trends and the picture of the 3C supply chain, and able to make strategy to point out where the companies should step in for sales advancement.
- Having strong experience to develop business from 0-1, maintain the customer’s request and relationship, and negotiation for the interest of the company consideration.
- Prefer Taiwanese working in near Shanghai/ Suzhou areas.
- Age 32 - 45 years old.
Competencies & Skills
- Technical understanding of automation, test & measurement equipment concepts
- A solid understanding of the engineering design and manufacturing processes
- Demonstrable experience in consultative technology solution selling capital equipment to OEMs/CMs
- Experience in selling into big accounts
- Track record of annual sales in the millions/ year range
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Bilingual: English capability is fluent. Be able to directly work with international colleagues and customers.
- Mobility: Travel up to 80% of the time (travel domestically and internationally as needed)
