The Business Development Manager, Process Development Services (m/f/d) for Cytiva is responsible for driving the growth of Cytiva’s Process Development Services solutions & technologies (Fast Trak™) by developing and executing a sales action plan that meets or exceeds our European sales targets.

This position is part of the PDVS commercial organization located in EMEA and will be fully remote. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • Opportunity Identification: Evaluate EMEA biotech & biopharma molecule pipeline, develop a sales funnel via horizontal teamwork and consequently bring deals to successful closure to increase Process Development revenue for Cytiva
  • Embrace Diversity: Build rapport, co-operation and relationship and lead via positive influencing in a highly cross functional and networked techno-commercial role across all customer segments, modalities and workflows (mAb, viral vectors, pDNA, mRNA, Oligos, etc.)
  • Customer Intimacy: Showcase a deep understanding of our customers' economic, regulatory, and operational challenges to effectively drive the ongoing evolution of Cytiva’s Process Development business
  • Project Collaboration: Work with Product Management, Fast Trak lab leaders, and Project Management to incorporate customer feedback and track projects from quote generation to completion
  • Process Improvement: Engage in or lead continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancement teams

Who you are:

  • Educational Background: BSc in Biotechnology/Life Sciences or equivalent experience.
  • Industry Experience: 5 years in bioprocess or related field, with 3 years in commercial roles in the Biotech, Biopharma, or CDMO field
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong ability to develop and close sales opportunities.
  • Client Relationships: Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
  • Technical Understanding: Knowledge of process development needs in mAbs, VV, and new modalities to effectively interpret customer needs.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – up to 50% incl. overnight, within EMEA as well as overseas
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Strong knowledge of process development needs in mAbs, Viral Vektor, and new modalities to effectively interpret customer needs.
