In this position…
The Ford Credit Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Dealers for their assigned Region. This will include working in a team-based environment with close connections to the Ford Credit Regional Team, FordPro FinSimple Team, Business Operations partners, and Ford Division partners to manage risk and grow volume and share within the Region to deliver a strong, growing, and vibrant business. The BDM will deliver products, services and experiences that drive passion and loyalty to every customer, while managing to simplify the work we do and eliminate waste to move faster and be adaptable. The BDM will operate in a collaborative work environment performing Joint Sales Calls a range of functions to provide analysis and action-based strategies to support growth and consulting opportunities. The ideal candidate will have the capacity to work and collaborate across multiple internal/external teams along with end user customers.

What you'll do…
- Develop meaningful relationships with key dealer personnel, leverage FMCC value proposition to achieve objectives, and be a trusted advisor.
- Establish a direct interface with Ford/Lincoln/FCSD Regional counterparts to pursue strategic vision and business plan for the Region.
- Work collaboratively with Regional Manager (RM) to achieve budgeted metrics through the development and execution of consulting projects.
- Collaborate with dealers to improve customer experience and loyalty to drive incremental sales opportunities.
- Effectively utilize sales marketing funds budgets to support achievement of objectives.
- Collaborate with inside sales to provide dealership training to develop incremental retail, lease, commercial, wholesale, loans, and fee income product performance.
- Develop, promote, and grow the commercial business with non-CVC dealers.
- Identify areas of opportunities, analyze, and utilize performance consulting process with assigned dealers to improve dealership performance.
- Understand market and dealership trends to capture and retain profitable dealer loan and wholesale business.
- Drive support for assigned minority dealers.
You'll have…
- 1+ years of Business Operations and/or Sales Operations experience.
- Financial analysis, marketing, risk management, communication, negotiation, and relationship management
- Strong organizational skills necessary
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – oral and written
- Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task
- The selected candidate will be required to live in or within proximity to the San Jose/South Bay area.

This position is a salary grade 7.
