Our mission is to take our beloved verticalized travel experience global through an all-encompassing travel platform that offers trips, experiences, and concierge services.

Position Overview: As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Wander, you will play a crucial role in driving our growth by identifying and nurturing potential clients. Your primary focus will be on cold calling and pitching, occupying at least 50% of your daily activities. You will be the first point of contact for potential clients, responsible for ensuring a smooth hand-off to our Account Executives (AEs), maintaining engagement throughout the process, and ensuring timely follow-ups. This role offers a high commission potential for securing high-quality, “10/10” homes, making it a vital part of our sales strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cold Calling and Pitching

  • Thorough Discovery Process

  • Scheduling and Coordination:

    • Schedule Deep Dive meetings, adding calls for all parties to calendars with video conferencing links

    • Ensure all parties accept invites and follow up to confirm availability

    • Introduce AEs to owners/prospects via email

  • Meeting Participation and Documentation:

    • Attend Deep Dive meetings, take detailed notes, and review call recordings for continuous learning

    • Create projections and capex requirements ahead of each call

    • Review calls with leadership for additional coaching

    • Send a call summary to all parties along with relevant documents

  • Follow-Up:

    • Maintain open lines of communication, ensuring follow-ups if there’s a period of no contact

    • Schedule and attend contract review calls, adding to calendars with video conference links

    • Send summaries and follow up after a week if contracts remain unsigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be US-based or work/live in PST, CST, MST, or EST

  • Must have a professional work set-up with high speed internet and an iPhone

  • Proven experience in a sales or business development role, preferably within the travel or real estate industry.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and schedules.

  • Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently.

  • Proficient in using CRM software, Google Docs, and Zoom.

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
