Exciting Opportunity: Converting Project Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Converting Project Engineer to lead capital projects across our Corrugated plants. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and budgeting through to safe execution and final reconciliation, ensuring all projects align with our operational, safety, and environmental standards. This position requires a high level of mobility, with up to 80% travel, ideally suited for a candidate based near a major airport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the design, documentation, budgeting, and implementation of multiple capital projects.
  • Provide technical leadership, influencing project teams and stakeholders to achieve project and operational goals.
  • Rapidly assess and respond to project challenges, offering clear direction and solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive project scopes, timelines, and budgets, maintaining strict control over project costs and schedules.
  • Foster collaboration with external contractors to meet diverse project needs.
  • Champion safety, ensuring rigorous hazard analyses and adherence to strict safety protocols throughout all project phases.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • This job is 80% travel (road warrior).Must be willing and able to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally.
  • You must have corrugated experience (box, sheet plant, containerboard, etc) on the manufacturing side, not handling of
  • 5+ years of Project management experience with CapEx experience required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD. Experience with JDE is a plus.
