Job Description

Overview:

If you're looking for the stability of a profitable, growing company with the entrepreneurial spirit of a startup, we’re hiring. SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Claims Training Specialist. This role is responsible in assisting in developing and delivering comprehensive training programs that ensure our staff is well equipped to handle property claims accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for staying informed about industry trends and best practices, ensuring that our training materials and methods remain relevant and up to date.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for training and development to make a meaningful impact on our organization's success. If you have strong communication skills, a deep understanding of property claims processes, and a desire to help others succeed, we encourage you to apply.

What you’d be doing:

  • Work with the Claims Training Manager to design and execute training programs that address the specific needs of our claim handlers. Develop content that is engaging, interactive, and reflective of industry best practices.
  • Schedule and manage training sessions, ensuring adequate resources and facilities are available. Maintain accurate records of training attendance and gather feedback to continuously improve the training experience.
  • Offer support to employees to enhance their skills and confidence. Identify areas for improvement and provide guidance to help individuals reach their full potential.
  • Assist in creating and updating training materials, job aids, and resources. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in claims handling. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance your own skills and knowledge.
  • Support the onboarding and mentoring of new hires, providing guidance, and sharing best practices to help them succeed in their roles.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in a training or teaching role, preferably in the insurance or claims industry.
  • Strong knowledge of property claims processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems.

About the Claims team at SageSure:

On SageSure’s Claims team, you’ll be doing more than investigating and resolving losses. From the ground up, you’ll be pioneering a best-in-class claims handling approach that leverages transformative technology to support our customers, agents, and employees. As a part of this customer-focused, process-oriented team you will be the face of SageSure, helping our policyholders through some of their most trying times. Whether you hold a formal leadership role or are a key team player, you’ll coach, mentor, and engage with those around you in ways that bring out the best in people and effect change. You can easily distill complex processes in ways those outside the industry can understand and know the importance of aligning communication tools to customer preferences.  You thrive on setting and exceeding expectations, and know building relationships, not completing transactions, is the heart of the insurance business.
