Role Summary
The Communications Executive role will support the Communications Manager by assisting in the development and execution of marketing communications campaigns to promote the Company’s products, services and brand. The Communications Executive plays a key role in helping drive brand awareness, lead generation and customer engagement through consistency of messaging. The Communications Executive will support the business with internal comms, helping to develop, refine and deliver meaningful communications to all employees through a variety of mediums, improving employee engagement. The Communications Executive plays a vital role in supporting the overall marketing and communications strategy, ensuring that campaigns are executed effectively to drive engagement, build brand awareness, and support business growth.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the Communications Manager in executing the communications strategy across all UK brands under the PEXA group, including Smoove, Optima, Amity Law, and Legal Eye.
- Write and edit high-quality, compelling copy tailored for a B2B audience, specifically targeting lenders, conveyancers, brokers and other professional services.
- Assist in drafting press releases, blog posts, case studies, email communications, sales support collateral and corporate materials to promote the brand and its initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels, aligning with overall brand and marketing strategies.
- Contribute to the creation of internal communications content to engage and inform employees, helping to drive internal campaigns.
- Assist in media monitoring, tracking press coverage, and reporting on the effectiveness of communication efforts to inform future strategies.
- Support in coordinating media partnerships and external stakeholder communications, ensuring timely and relevant messaging is shared.
- Help manage the company’s digital presence by providing content for corporate websites, social media channels, and email campaigns.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor communications to provide recommendations for enhancing the company’s brand positioning.
Skills and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years previous experience in a marketing communications / content / copywriting / PR role.
- Strong copywriting and editing skills: With a focus on crafting clear, professional content for B2B audiences, particularly within the professional services sector (e.g., lenders and conveyancers).
- Multi-channel experience: Experienced in creating various forms of communication materials; including press releases, blogs, email marketing content, and corporate documents.
- Market knowledge: Understanding of the property or legal services sectors and familiarity with communicating complex industry topics in an accessible manner.
- Alignment and consistency: Ability to work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure messaging consistency and alignment with business objectives.
- Project management: A proactive, detail-oriented approach to managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Public Relations: Basic knowledge of media relations and public relations activities, including media tracking and reporting.
- Strong organisational and collaboration skills: With the ability to contribute to internal and external communication initiatives.
- Platforms: Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and channels (social media, email, web content) is advantageous.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Proficiency in Digital Tools: Familiarity with digital marketing tools, content management systems, and file management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Google Drive) to help organise and track marketing activities.
- Data Reporting: Analytical mindset with a basic understanding of data analysis and reporting.
- Market knowledge: Interest in or knowledge of the legal or property sectors is a plus but not essential.
