Why do we need you? Well, we are looking for a Community Specialist who is Calendly savvy, comfortable in public communities, and is excited to become proficient in community management. You will report to the Senior Manager, Community and will be responsible for helping support Calendly Community by being passionate about maintaining a constructive and welcoming environment while crafting personal connections with and between our community members.

A day in the life of a Community Specialist at Calendly

Calendly Community is the destination and launching point for users’ quests for help, inspiration, and connection. Whether new to scheduling automation, calendar proficient, or a top-tier scheduling pro - the community helps users grow and share their knowledge using collaborative spaces, a coordinated user experience, and ever growing collective knowledge.

On a typical day, you will be working on:

  • Cultivate positive and constructive interactions within the community. Encourage members to share their thoughts, questions, and experiences. Find opportunities to strengthen our relationships with power users.
  • Listen and engage regularly with community members, providing them with any support and resources they need. Keep a close eye on community discussions, ensuring they align with community guidelines and policies. Provide timely and useful responses to community members' questions and issues.
  • Capture and triage feedback from the community. Work with CX Operations teams to add additional perspective - both qualitative and quantitative - to our Voice of the Customer program. Help champion community-suggested improvements and features with the Product org.
  • Share relevant information, updates, and resources to keep members informed and engaged. Chip in to the creation of engaging and insightful content, such as blog posts, FAQs, or video tutorials, to improve the community experience.
  • Create valuable proactive and reactive content for Community and Support that helps increase self-serve resolution, decrease redundant questions, and helps improve the customer experience.

What do we need from you?

  • 2+ years experience in community management and/or 3+ years customer support roles
  • Experience in a fast growth SaaS environment; comfortable with rapid change, and product support
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to create or maintain communications specific to the intended audience - concise, well crafted, and correctly toned
  • A fast learner capable of independent study and self-teaching when needed
  • Capable of working independently on day-to-day responsibilities and collaborating with peers
  • A love for interacting directly with community members. Comfortable building networks and having hard conversations when needed
  • A passion for customer advocacy and advocating for their needs, raising feedback, and closing the feedback loop
  • A strategic problem solver with the ability to keep multiple responsibilities organized and an eagerness to take on any task when needed; strong project management and task prioritization skills
  • Strong self-awareness; the right candidate will always be learning, exploring, and finding the new limits of their professional comfort zones

The ranges listed below are the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.

Calendly takes a number of factors into consideration when determining an employee’s starting salary, including relevant experience, relevant skills sets, interview performance, location/metropolitan area, and internal pay equity.

Base salary is just one component of Calendly’s total rewards package. All full-time (30 hours/week) employees are also eligible for our Quarterly Corporate Bonus program (or Sales incentive), equity awards, and competitive benefits.

Calendly uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location, or the onsite building location if hybrid, to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current geographic zones are as follows:

  • Tier 1: San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, New York City, NY
  • Tier 2: Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, and all other cities in CA.
  • Tier 3: All other locations not in Tier 1 or Tier 2
