We are seeking a motivated and talented Compensation & Benefits Specialist to administer competitive compensation programs that attract, retain, and reward our employees at Verdantas. Reporting to the Director, Benefits & Compensation, the Compensation & Benefits Specialist will be instrumental in continuing to build our people-focused culture through partnership and collaboration with our Human Resources and Operations teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead with empathy, strong communication, and a people-focused approach to achieve successful results across the company.
  • Support and shape the company’s people-focused culture by promoting inclusivity, diversity, and collaboration by reinforcing positive workplace values and encouraging teamwork.
  • Partner with the Human Resources Director to develop and deploy base and variable pay programs, including job market pricing studies, merit programs, annual incentive plans and other bonus programs.
  • Build and maintain pay structures, job grades, and salary ranges.
  • Support company’s 401(k) program including assisting with the integration of acquired companies into existing plan and operating educational programs to increase participation.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on compensation-related matters.
  • Collaborate with HR Area Leaders, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders on compensation projects, including candidate offers.
  • Monitor and analyze compensation and benefit trends, recommending improvements.
  • Work with HR Systems and Integration Specialist to ensure HR system meets compensation and benefit needs for employees and planning purposes.
  • Conducts routine market analysis of jobs to ensure competitive pricing of positions based on geographic and talent conditions in relation to internal salary ranges.
  • Conduct audits to ensure job classification and regulatory compliance while maintaining job descriptions.
  • Support benefit administration including LOA’s, open enrollment planning and roll-out, assist employees with their questions, and communications regarding enhancements to our benefit programs.
· Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Finance, or a related field of study.
•Minimum of five (5) years of experience in compensation and benefit programs.
•Strong knowledge of compensation programs and practices.
•Ability to think analytically and execute effectively to drive results, successfully resolve complex issues, and establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
•Must have exceptional communication, presentation, time and project management, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
•Strong technical skills in using Microsoft Office environment. Intermediate to advanced use of excel, power point and communications platforms highly preferred.
•Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
•CCP, GRP, or CEBS designations are desirable.

•Experience in at least one organization over 1,000 employees.
