Job Summary:

This position of Contract Specialist will be responsible for Real Estate contract review to meet provincial requirements and other compliance tasks that are deemed necessary. This role requires an Agent or Broker license, thorough understanding of real estate contracts, and keen attention to detail.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Timely complete and follow through on all tasks as assigned through the Brokerage Operations department and Designated Broker.

  • Utilize only companies provided tools, technology and methods of communication with staff and agents.

  • Performs contract review to ensure legal and contractual compliance of real estate transactions.

  • Ensure all files in the Company's Transaction Management System are reviewed timely (48hrs)

  • Review and approve FINTRAC identification records and FINTRAC Receipt of Funds Records.

  • Effectively and promptly communicates with agents regarding deficiencies in documents and providing explanation and assistance.

  • Work with the Broker team by supporting efforts to ensure compliance.

  • Other duties may be assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must have an active member real estate license in good standing with provincial regulator

  • Maintain required continuing education credits in real estate

  • Experience and knowledge with CREA, Provincial Regulator, Provincial Association, FINTRAC compliance and other federal requirements.

  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills across all levels of the organization

  • Must have a full knowledge of Provincial Forms, Contracts, Real Estate Laws, Regulations, Rules and Updates/Changes.

  • Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems using good judgment

  • Possess the highest degree of integrity

Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years provincial real estate experience

  • BA/MA strongly preferred

  • Active Real Estate Agent or Broker’s license required

  • High School Diploma/GED required
