Position summary:
The Coordinator of Career Services will lead the development and implementation of career services programs that support students and alumni in their career exploration, job search, and professional development. This role involves collaborating with students, faculty, staff, and community partners to enhance career-related opportunities and resources.
Position responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive career services programs, including workshops, job fairs, and employer networking events.
- Promote career services through various channels to ensure students are aware of available resources and opportunities, including credit for prior learning and prior learning assessments.
- Provide individualized career counseling and coaching to dual credit students, current college students and alumni, helping them identify career goals and develop job search strategies.
- Work closely with academic departments to integrate career readiness into the curriculum and support student engagement in experiential learning opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with local employers to provide internship and job opportunities for students.
- Maintaining an up-to-date online listing of available job opportunities for students and graduates.
- Collect and analyze data on career services outcomes and student employment rates to evaluate program effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
Minimum Position Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Understanding of job market trends and employer needs.
- Be able to work well with little supervision.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and foster an inclusive environment.
- 3-5 years of experience in career services, student engagement areas, or related roles in higher education is preferred.
- This is a 12-month position
Supervisory Responsibilities:

- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office and classroom environment.
- No or very limited physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
- No or very limited exposure to physical risk.

- Compensation for this 12-month position is $49,164
