Copywriter

Vasion is looking for a copywriter that exemplifies our core values and wants to be part of our growing team. You will be responsible for writing persuasive copy for marketing collateral, ads, blogs, landing pages, full funnel campaigns, and our website. Your focus will be on attracting target audiences with campaigns and collateral. You will have to write good.

Our ideal candidate is a team-spirited, skilled, and engaging copywriter with a gimlet eye for detail. Must have worked with graphic designers, art directors, and other marketing team members as part of integrated campaigns, with bonus points for agency experience.

Responsibilities:

• Write, edit, and proofread creative copy to ensure it is accurate, engaging, and on-brand for a variety of mediums, including websites, video, social media, ads, email marketing, and integrated campaigns
• Collaborate with content marketers, designers, art directors, and campaign managers to develop creative that performs
• Participate in brainstorming sessions, creative meetings, and feedback sessions to generate ideas and improve copy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end development, website strategy, product marketing, and more to understand business objectives, target audience, and key messaging for each project
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in copywriting and content marketing.
• Use SEO principles to maximize copy’s reach
• Help with additional projects as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• BSc/BA in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 2+ years of experience and a proven portfolio
• Working knowledge and experience with AP-style writing
• Experience writing digital advertisements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Creative production experience, pop culture awareness, and a general sense of what’s up in the market
• Can speak art director and graphic designer
• Knowledge of full-funnel marketing campaigns, online content strategy, SEO, and marketing material creation
• Strong research and distillation skills
• Collaborative mindset yet also the ability to work independently
