The Role:
Do you have teaching experience in Wales and a vision for supporting teaching and learning across Wales? We’re looking for an ambitious and proactive person to join the entrepreneurial teams which comprise Twinkl’s core customer segments. You will be responsible for supporting the ongoing development and growth of our Welsh community.
You'll be joining the Wales-based Twinkl team with additional support from leaders at Twinkl HQ in the U.K. You’ll need to take a rapid iterative approach, employing different marketing and business development techniques to get the message out to the community.
You'll be a key player within the Wales team, making connections between our product and the community, and responsible for user growth within the customer segments in Wales.
You will be commercially-minded and comfortable making decisions on where to pursue opportunities and showcase our product. You will be responsible for weekly growth reporting in line with business expectations. This is a very varied role that involves both proactive strategic planning and reactive work as you pivot and respond to the demands of your growing market.
A typical week could involve any of the following:
- Show tenacity and drive when going above and beyond to reach new customers and build your segment.
- Sales and marketing to spread the word to new customers who we can help and support.
- Manage social media activity for your segment to make sure the right messages reach our customers at the right time.
- Digital optimization to look at the overall user experience of the area of the Twinkl Wales website and work with the Wales Manager, Production, and web and design teams to continuously improve the UX for your specific segment.
- Business management and strategy to put plans in place to help achieve ambitious growth targets for your segment. Work with professionals across the business to understand what’s working and how we can improve.
Requirements
To succeed in the role, you will have one or a combination of the following:
- Thorough knowledge of the Wales market, and of our customers.
- Experience within an Welsh education setting
- A strong entrepreneurial mindset and a propensity for action.
- Sound decision-making skills and diligent in seizing new opportunities.
- Understands what good prioritisation is, and values output and results.
- Commercially astute and a strategic thinker who is comfortable taking calculated risks and being accountable for successes and failures.
- Ability to communicate a shared vision and motivate individuals and a team.
- Methodical, highly organised, accurate and execution focused
- Up-to-date tech skills and social media savviness.
- Fluency or working knowledge of Welsh and English
