Description

We are hiring a new Customer Marketing Specialist to join our team at Spare!
As a Customer Marketing Specialist at Spare, you will:
  • Impact customer expansion & retention: develop and execute marketing strategies that drive customers' growth!
  • Be a customer advocate, leading initiatives that will enhance how they showcase their services to riders while working with Spare

As Spare's first Customer Marketing Specialist, your work will directly influence the quality and efficiency of public transportation services, making them more inclusive and sustainable. This is a unique opportunity to build and shape this role from the ground up!

Our Spare HQ is in Vancouver, BC, but this position is open to remote work options across Canada. If you like coming into an office, you can work from our HQ as desired, and we also provide a co-working stipend for those who wish to work in an office outside Vancouver.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaigns and Programs: Design and implement customer retention, expansion campaigns, and loyalty programs leveraging insights to tailor messages and offers.
  • Develop content that highlights customer success and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to identify opportunities for campaign customization and segmentation to enhance conversion rates.
  • Support Agency rider marketing efforts for our customers.




About you

  • Experience in B2B or B2G Marketing (ideally 2 to 3 years of experience)
  • Experience in content creation
  • Experience with marketing automation software (like Hubspot, Salesforce or others)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)


It will be considered a bonus (nice-to-have):
  • Previous experience in Transit SaaS or a keen interest in transit
  • Experience in public service, working on city marketing communications or press releases for cities, for example)
