Overview

At Grata, we are looking for an experienced and motivated candidate to lead our Data Operations team. In this role you will operationalize and oversee 5 research teams who report to team leads and project managers. We are looking for someone who has experience building out teams, increasing efficiencies in current workflows, creating management level reporting of performance and scaling data operations teams.

As our Data Ops Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of Grata’s data and AI programs by providing leadership, strategic oversight, and operational excellence. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including machine learning team, data engineers, and product managers, to ensure the efficient execution of data initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that continue to accelerate growth and shape the future of Grata.

We have a unique and proprietary set of data and is one of the reasons we are leading in the market. We want someone in this role to optimize data collection workflows, establish scalable processes for the Data Operation teams and monitor the department’s progress.

About the Role:

You will…

  • Establish and optimize scalable data collection and data audit workflows and contribute to the success of data-driven projects
  • Set goals and expectations for team leads and hold staff accountable for performance goals
  • Oversee data quality outputs across 5 Data Operations teams by conducting data validation and quality checks
  • Build and maintain dashboards and interactive visualizations that convey key performance metrics for the department as well as analytical insights for the organization
  • Prepare Executive read-out of performance, activities and success of 5 Data Operations teams, which includes analysis of performance data, shifts in trends and recommendations of adjustments needed
  • Incorporate customer satisfaction as a component of ensuring Data Operations team success with an emphasis on generating innovative ways to continually improve results
  • Partner with product managers and engineering teams to contribute to data strategy and data management
  • Oversee daily operational activities, identifying and implementing improvements to streamline processes and maximize efficiency
  • Continuously develop and implement strategies for operational improvement, driving efficiency and effectiveness
  • Provide guidance and hands-on training to the Data Operations department on process improvements
  • Drive department effectiveness to impact the business’ overall effectiveness
  • This is a high-impact, high-visibility role interacting directly with Grata’s executive leaders and cross-functional managers

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience in data operations, consulting, or a similar role
  • Meticulous bar-raiser passionate about data quality
  • Analytical, data-oriented thinker who is able to communicate opinions clearly, and willing to be convinced otherwise through thoughtful discourse
  • Skills in change management to effectively guide and transition teams through organizational and operational changes
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor teams
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and integrate broad-range visions into actionable, profitable outcomes
  • Gritty, scrappy, and resilient, with a strong bias for action and excited to take on new challenges
  • Experience in designing workflows and efficient processes for manual data collection and data cleansing efforts
  • Strong understanding of database structures, data quality, data concepts, theories, principles, and practices
  • Relevant data exploration skills such as data analytics, SQL, R or python
  • Experience working with business intelligence tools such as Azure ADF, SSIS, Talend, Profisee, SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik

The compensation for this role is targeted at $125,000-$140,000 including a base salary and a significant equity package.
