About the Job:

We are seeking a seasoned and highly motivated Delivery Director to lead successful executions of complex public sector programmes. This individual will be a visionary leader with a proven track record of delivering large-scale programmes.

Day to Day Activities:

  • Programme Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for assigned programmes, ensuring alignment with client goals and objectives.
  • Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with assigned clients, acting as the primary point of contact and understanding their needs and challenges.
  • Business Development: Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, developing proposals, and negotiating contracts.
  • Project Management: Overseeing the delivery of consulting services to clients, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Governance & Assurance: Implement and maintain robust governance frameworks, overseeing risk management, issue resolution, and change control processes.
  • Performance Management: Continuously monitor and evaluate programme performance against agreed-upon metrics, identifying and addressing any deviations promptly.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide clear and concise communication to stakeholders at all levels, keeping them informed of progress, challenges, and key decisions.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing programme team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Financial Performance: Contributing to the financial success of the consultancy by achieving revenue targets and managing project budgets effectively.

Requirements

  • Experience of consulting for public sector
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement
  • Proven experience in senior programme delivery roles, with a proven track record of success in complex and high-profile programmes.
  • Strong understanding of programme management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, or hybrid approaches).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrably strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in managing budgets, resources, and risks effectively.
  • Proficient in project management tools and relevant software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, reporting tools).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture and translate this into actionable plans
  • A passion for driving continuous improvement and innovation in program delivery
