Job Description

JeffreyM is looking for a Design Group Manager/Creative Director to join our team. In this role, you will be at the helm of our creative team, leading a talented team of graphic designers to produce compelling and cohesive visual content that resonates across our diverse brand portfolio. Your visionary leadership will be pivotal in fostering a collaborative environment where creativity flourishes, ensuring that all content aligns with brand identity and marketing objectives. Working in close connection with the Strategy Group Manager, you will synchronize artistic and strategic endeavors to craft work that captivates and engages our audience, driving brand awareness and engagement to new heights.

This role demands a keen eye for design, a passion for social media, and the ability to inspire and manage a dynamic team. You will be responsible for overseeing the creative process from conception to execution in partnership with our extended team departments, ensuring that each piece of content not only shines individually but also harmonizes with the overarching brand narrative.

**This is a contract position planning to start July 1st, 2024 and go through June 30, 2025 with a high chance to extend**

Responsibilities

  • Desire to work collaboratively as part of a larger team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Managing and mentoring the team of various tenure and skill level to grow in their craft and strive for excellence. Do so with patience, compassion and professionalism.
  • Reviewing work created by designers to ensure they adhere to brand guidelines and maintain conceptual integrity.
  • Evaluating creative team performance and guiding improvements.
  • Working with project managers to ensure resources are prioritizing project needs and ensuring smooth processes to keep team on deadlines, which can occasionally be aggressive.
  • Works hand-in-hand with the social strategists and leadership team to ensure connection between content, copy, strategy, measurement etc.
  • Strong conceptual abilities, remarkable art direction skills and a solid knowledge of the digital landscape.
  • Leading and participating in brainstorming sessions.
  • Polished client presentation skills demonstrating a clear vision of how the work addresses the client challenge
  • Talent to inspire clients and team members with great visual design.
  • Keeping up with the latest trends, strategies, and technologies in marketing.
  • Elevating the visual aesthetic for all assigned accounts, based on strategic and audience-based insights.
  • Occasional design projects as needed to fill gaps.

Requirements

  • Degree in graphic design, advertising or related field.
  • Five+ years of collective experience in an agency setting preferred.
  • 1-3+ years of people management preferred.
  • A strong portfolio that includes work executed for a wide range of channels, produced on behalf of a diverse range of clients. Tech client experience a plus.
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
  • Experience with Microsoft programs – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Teams or project management tools like Clickup a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing, brand, and design principles and development.
  • Must possess a very keen understanding of new and continually developing social channels, such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube.
  • Must be comfortable working in a role with varying levels of confidentiality.

Benefits

Compensation Range: $100,000-$120,000/yr

**This pay range is Client-specific for the opening advertised. The identity of the Client will be disclosed if you are selected to move forward in the hiring process.
