POSITION DESCRIPTION:

INADEV is seeking a strong cross-functional candidate to join our team to help in all stages of the program lifecycle from capture to team building to running the full program. The ideal candidate is extremely passionate about the space, has a technical background, and experience within the federal government, in either a full time capacity or at a government contractor.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Build and maintain cloud native infrastructure architectures that are secure, NIST 800-53 compliant, resilient and optimized for performance
  • Assess architectures and designs for security vulnerabilities and suggest and implement proper alternatives
  • Come up with customized tools for security purposes in DevOps. The professionals should be well-versed in at least one of the programming languages like Java, PHP, Python, Ruby, and Perl to collaborate competently with other teams within the organization
  • Possess deep and hands-on knowledge of AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and how to implement developer tools such as GitHub and Dependency management
  • Use configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Docker & Multipass) to deploy cloud infrastructure, platform stack, HTTP/TLS security, and compliance assets
  • Automate routine tasks to provide scalability to operations
  • Create and oversee automated release operations as well as the advancement of desired state automated CI-CD Pipelines using Jenkins, Spinnaker and other relevant CI-CD tools
  • Create CI/CD pipelines as code (PaCs)
  • Deploy infrastructure on cloud platforms by writing IaCs and other relevant manifests and scripts

Requirements

NON-TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Ability to pass a 7-year background check and be able to obtain a US Public Trust (Preference may be given to candidates with prior DHS experience)
  • Must work during Eastern Standard Time business hours to meet customer requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Must have critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and working within aggressive delivery schedules.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

Bachelor’s Degree (in a technical discipline) and 5+ years of experience in DevOps with a deep understand and experience with:

  • Proficient with Linux based operating systems & Shell/Bash scripting.
  • Strong programming experience in either Java OR Python OR PERL.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with building and operating systems and applications running on cloud platforms, such as AWS OR Azure.
  • Creating IaCs (infrastructure as code) using Terraform to instantiate and manage large applications and their underlying infrastructure.
  • Hands on experience in creating Docker images and containerization.
  • Deploying and managing K8s (Kubernetes) clusters.
  • Using CLI (command line interface) to automate and create repeatable processes.
  • Use Pipeline as Code to create complex and multi-state CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and enforce code and release quality gates.
  • Securing cloud environments, building security quality gates in the CI/CD pipelines.
  • Working in a large and complex computing environment.
  • Deep understanding of computer networks, routing, load balancing, APIs, web applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and fix infrastructure and network related issues.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and working within aggressive delivery schedules.
