Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in guiding our team to plan and implement: automation tools (such as Ansible) and containerization using Docker. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing our development processes, ensuring system robustness, and improving scalability. Job Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain and scale infrastructure for Production and non-Production environments.

  • Develop robust tools aimed at minimizing error instances and enhancing overall customer satisfaction.

  • Spearhead the establishment and maintenance of containerized environments leveraging Docker and associated technologies.

  • Conduct thorough root cause analyses of production errors, effectively resolving technical challenges to ensure uninterrupted operations.

  • Contribute effectively to an on-call rotation schedule, providing timely assistance as needed.

  • Thoroughly document system troubleshooting procedures and maintenance protocols to ensure operational continuity.

  • Drive the implementation and ongoing support of automation initiatives, leveraging tools such as Ansible to streamline processes, and enhance efficiency.

  • Assist in the strategic development and rapid enterprise integration of cyber security capabilities and tools to protect our networks, systems, and information

  • Partner with our security teams to implement proactive security scanning into our CI/CD Pipelines.

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively at a high level with groups such as: IT Operations, Database Engineering, Application Development and Management, in support of architecture change and application availability.

Job Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related technical field

  • 2+ years IT industry experience with web application hosting/development, deployment and production support and command line level experience in a Linux Based environment (RHEL, CENTOS, Oracle Linux).

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with any of these container architecture and orchestration technologies: Docker, Kubernetes and similar tools

  • 2+ years of experience Architecting complex ANSIBLE playbooks or equivalent orchestration tools.

  • 2+ years of implementing CI/CD pipelines

  • 2+ years hands-on cumulative experience in a development capacity using one or more of the following or similar languages: BASH, PYTHON, RUBY, PHP, NODEJS, GO.

  • 2+ years AWS cloud deployment and production support experience at scale with a variety of services

  • Deployment and monitoring of highly available web applications without outage.

  • Ability to perform in an on call rotation.
