Overview:

SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking an experienced, talented, and committed Director of Field Operations with deep technical knowledge of property claims and damage estimation.

A qualified candidate must have extensive experience navigating challenging and complex claim situations, collaborating with others to develop and achieve business goals, and inspiring team members to reach their full potential. Ideal candidates will have a strong track record of creating, developing, and leading highly successful field operations through significant periods of change.

What you’d be doing:

  • Directly manage Field Claim Supervisors who each lead a team of 5-10 Field Claim Adjusters that conduct onsite coverage and damages assessments of personal and commercial lines property losses, including the writing of detailed and accurate damage estimates.
  • Ensure Field Team KPIs are within target by developing, monitoring, and adjusting tactical plans.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive results through the optimization of our claim-handling processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Select and manage vendors as needed to support the Field Team’s needs.
  • Collaborate with peers and the Claims Executive Team to establish, communicate, and reinforce department vision and goals.
  • Collaborate with the Catastrophe Claims AVP to leverage internal and external resources to support CAT response.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • 10+ years of property claims experience.
  • 5+ years of claims leadership experience, the majority being in the field.
  • Extensive estimating experience in Mobile Claims/Symbility.
  • Knowledge and experience using major data analytics platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction and repair methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently for field co-inspections & potential deployment during large catastrophic events.
  • Adjuster licensed or meets requirements for licensing in applicable states.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.

Highly preferred candidates also have:

  • Catastrophe handling, leadership, and coordination experience
  • Strong process development and analytical skills
  • Vendor management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Professional designations
