A DAY IN THE LIFE:

The Director, International Marketing is a cross-functional leader within the organization with the responsibility for driving product, channel and company related projects for all countries except the US and Canada. They work with the broader International Marketing team to support strategic creation, planning, and execution of new product launches, as well as the management of all commercialized products and portfolios with a focus toward scalability and global organizational growth through both distributor channels and direct interactions.

YOU’RE AWESOME AT:

  • Leads and executes assigned strategic marketing initiatives to support commercial growth and scalability of Tandem in the International scope.
  • Leads and executes product and service launches for Tandem in the international scope.
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to the marketing organization to aid in the marketing and development of all product and channel initiatives, working closely within the broader worldwide marketing organization.
  • Oversees and ensures the holistic alignment of commercialized offerings, to ensure synergy between product, portfolio, corporate strategies, and partnership commitments.
  • Serves as an internal expert on product and channels as a voice of the customer outside North America (VOC), acting as the internal champion and primary liaison to Marketing and assigned teams within Tandem.
  • Provides insight and influence to the product and channel marketing teams to aid in the development of next generation products and current product enhancements.
  • Creates marketing content and collateral in alignment with the global marketing vision and in collaboration with the global marketing team.
  • Leads global marketing integration efforts to envision best practices for supporting Tandem customers.
  • Tracks key performance indicators to be included in reporting framework and shared with the broader organization.
  • Works closely with clinical Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Represents the company during medical conferences, sales meetings, and customer visits.
  • Supports the short-term planning for the department including headcount, budgeting, training, and systems requirements.
  • Participates in the selection, development, performance appraisal, merit recommendation, and promotion of staff.
  • Ensures department staff is properly trained, per designated training plan, before assuming job responsibilities.
  • Develops and manages schedules and performance requirements of staff.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.

EXTRA AWESOME:

  • BS/BA Degree in business specialty and equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  • 12+ years related experience in marketing, product management, sales, or patient experience management.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role with visibility to senior management.
  • Experience educating and interacting with patients, physicians, and other clinical customers.
  • Cross functional people leader with advanced knowledge of healthcare from healthcare provider, patient, and manufacturers point of view.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence individual contributors and people leaders and scale a department.
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following commercial related skills: marketing, sales, product management, and/or experience management.
  • Strong knowledge in the following disciplines: user interface, clinical, business opportunity assessments, reimbursement, pricing.
  • General understanding of the diabetes industry.
  • Skilled at negotiating with customers or management and influencing senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
  • Adept at creating and communicating a clear vision and expectations among team members to effectively align resources to achieve goals.
  • Advanced computer and computer software skills, to include Microsoft Office products.
  • Adept at people management and leadership, driving a performance culture.
  • Skilled at effectively communicating department or area issues and results within and across functional areas and conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or timelines.
  • Able to gain cooperation of others.
  • Skilled at effectively leading a cooperative team effort and organizing resources to achieve team goals. Able to make and prioritize process and resource decisions based on overall team needs.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting base pay range for this position is 183,400 - 229,200 CHF annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package.

YOU SHOULD KNOW:

Potential new employees must successfully complete a drug screen (excludes marijuana) and background check which includes criminal search, education certification and employment verification prior to hire.
