Area Director of Sales or REP – Cyclades & Athens, Greece (USA & Canada Markets)

The Area Director of Sales (ADOS)– Cyclades & Athens or REP assumes a pivotal role in enhancing the visibility of Domes Resorts within their designated territory. At the core of this position is the strategic development of sales opportunities, meticulous customer account management, and substantial contribution to hotels in the specified region/s.

This multifaceted role seeks a sales-driven professional capable of forming robust partnerships, delivering tangible results, and providing crucial support and education. This is a remote position, and candidates can be based anywhere within the United States. However, candidates located in New York or East Cost cities will be given preference. Experience as Director of Sales in a luxurious Marriott property or Resort is an asset.

Some of Responsibilities you will be entrusted with:

  • Conduct sales representation in the market, performing day-to-day sales calls, prospecting, and closing deals, along with providing product training either in client offices or virtually.
  • Deliver valuable training to travel agency and tour operator teams, representing the hotel or resort brand fully.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key travel agency and tour operator contacts in agreed geographical markets, participating in tradeshows and liaising with travel advisor consortiums such as Virtuoso, Signature Travel Network, and Internova Group.
  • Provide luxury sales expertise to key luxury travel clients across the United States & Canada.
  • Utilize established relationships with key decision-makers in luxury travel markets to promote and facilitate leisure and luxury consortia business.
  • Cultivate relationships with travel advisors and clients, delivering value, support, and creativity.
  • Implement tailor-made sales strategies for the Cyclades Cluster and individual hotels within it, connecting with the right market of travel agents and tour operators for each brand and destination.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills to help you in your role:

  • Comprehensive sales knowledge of hospitality sector in local market and the designated market segments (USA/Canada)
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and targets.
  • Flexibility to adjust to the changing needs of the business, taking on new ideas, initiatives, brands and responsibilities as they present themselves.

    Experience/Certificates/Education
  • College/University Degree or equivalent experience, ideally within a hospitality or commercial discipline.
  • Marriott Hotels & Resorts previous exposure will be considered as an asset.
  • Significant experience in hotel sales (property, national sales or global sales).
  • Experience in luxury hotel sales in Cyclades is an advantage.
  • Good experience and knowledge of the FIT, leisure groups especially in USA/Canada.
  • This is a remote position, and candidates can be based anywhere within the United States. However, candidates located in New York or East Cost will be given preference.
