Job Summary

The EDI Analyst is responsible for internal EDI processes and EDI implementation for the firm. This position supports Account Management with expert level knowledge, guidance, and management of EDI file feeds to help continue to build and strengthen the firm’s reputation. The EDI Analyst reports to the EDI Team Leader.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain general employee benefit knowledge as well as Flores system knowledge with our proprietary software and administrative model regarding Flexible Spending Accounts, Cafeteria Plans, Health Reimbursement Arrangements, HSA Administration, Commuter Benefit Accounts, COBRA and Direct Reimbursement models.
- Interact with Account Managers, Clients, Brokers, and file feed Vendors in a positive and helpful way through email and calls to facilitate implementation of EDI file feeds for enrollment/eligibility, contribution, and COBRA file types.
- Understand tasks and processes related to EDI file set-up and maintenance and communicate technical requirements and objectives clearly internally and externally, with emphasis on translating these requirements simply to all audiences regardless of their prior knowledge on these subjects.
- Manage EDI Team inbox in HelpScout, utilizing features of the platform to provide fast responses and work together with your team and Account Managers efficiently and transparently.
- Perform file testing and file layout building as required for multiple plan and file types for all external clients.
- Manage and perform other internal duties relating to client files, which may include routing, auditing, and handling error reports.
- Serve as the resource for problem identification and resolution of file feed related issues.
- Support firm growth and improvement by participating in development projects relating to EDI processes and Data Pipeline testing.
- Create, manage, and improve the training platform at the firm on an ongoing basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are
- Experience in benefits management, customer service or accounting related field preferred but not required. 2-3 years of experience in EDI or related field preferred.
- Preferred but not required, bachelor’s degree.
- A detail orientated individual with strong organizational and prioritizing skills, and the ability to be flexible and multi-task in a collaborative environment.
- Able to confidently use independent judgment and expertise to manage groups.
- Someone with strong interpersonal skills who understands that our business objective is to provide superior customer service and can handle conflict in a professional manner.
- An internally motivated individual looking to grow personally and professionally.
- A qualified candidate who possesses above average analytical and problem-solving skills and is experienced with Microsoft Excel.
- Someone with the ability to process and manipulate data in a variety of formats while ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
- Able to perform this job successfully and grow into managing significant client relationships.
- An individual that understands the value of providing a high level of customer service.
Work Environment
Flores’ standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET with an hour lunch. Roles may be approved for other schedules by managers. This role operates in a professional office environment. To be considered for this role, you must reside in one of the following states —AZ, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, MA, ME, MI, MO, NC, NV, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV. This role is mostly sedentary and consists of prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. This role also utilizes other tools such as a phone, copy machine, and printer. Common programs often used are Outlook, Word, and Excel. This position frequently communicates with Flores team members and candidates and must be able to exchange accurate information clearly in these situations.
